The MI6 controller's jobs are to pair with a SPECTRE and to send it various commands
The MI6 has two shoulder buttons that choose the desired robot number to pair with. The two digit LED display reflects this number. Two push buttons on the front control pair requests as well as unpair commands. When paired with a SPECTRE, the two joysticks control motion, while the shoulder buttons command the balloon popping maneuver and braking. A cell phone sits in front and gives the user visual and audio feedback via a Bluetooth app. A TIVA microcontroller runs the MI6 software and sends commands to the SPECTRE via an XBee radio module.
